Uber undead bashing maul-rod.....

Darmanicus

I'm Ray...of Enfeeblement
Ok I'd do this myself but the IT guys in our company have put restrictions on what sites we can visit and I've found that Wizards.com is one of 'em!!!!?????? I therefore do not have access to the SRD and am in need of pricing a nice new shiny club of undead beating!

Mt thoughts so far are:

1. 2-handed bludgeoning weapon.
2. Adamantine.
3. Incorporating a Rod of Lesser Quickening into the haft.
4. +2 Weapon.
5. Undead Bane Enhancement.
6. Disruption Enhancement.
7. (possibly) Spell Storing Enhancement, (Searing Light, heh, heh).

Basically our party is at the level, (15th av), where we're due some nice new shiny toys and I want one prepared ahead of time.

Thanks for your time. :D

That would cost 53,315ish (i don't know the base price of the weapon, but this is right if it is a heavy flail, which is bludgeoning for 1d10 19-20/x2) for the weapon part or 75,315 if it has spell storing. The lesser quickening rod part is just another 35,000, since rods are already priced as not taking up an item slot, so there should be no price increase to set one in a weapon's haft. Total cost is 88,315 or 110,315 with Spell Storing

Cheers Rystil, I never thought of a 2-handed flail; I swear I've seen a really cool knight type figure with one of those that I've been wanting to paint for a while now.

Searing Light
Effect: Ray

Spell Storing: A spell storing weapon allows a spellcaster to store a single targeted spell of up to 3rd level in the weapon.

Searing Light is an effect spell, not a targeted spell.

Rods don't take up an item slot? I think you mean you don't wear them, but you still need to hold them. And there are limits to what you can hold, aren't there? Otherwise you could just strap a whole bunch of rods together and say you're holding all of them all the time...

MAGIC ITEMS ON THE BODY
Many magic items need to be donned by a character who wants to employ them or benefit from their abilities. It’s possible for a creature with a humanoid-shaped body to wear as many as twelve magic items at the same time. However, each of those items must be worn on (or over) a particular part of the body.

A humanoid-shaped body can be decked out in magic gear consisting of one item from each of the following groups, keyed to which place on the body the item is worn.

One headband, hat, helmet, or phylactery on the head
One pair of eye lenses or goggles on or over the eyes
One amulet, brooch, medallion, necklace, periapt, or scarab around the neck
One vest, vestment, or shirt on the torso
One robe or suit of armor on the body (over a vest, vestment, or shirt)
One belt around the waist (over a robe or suit of armor)
One cloak, cape, or mantle around the shoulders (over a robe or suit of armor)
One pair of bracers or bracelets on the arms or wrists
One glove, pair of gloves, or pair of gauntlets on the hands
One ring on each hand (or two rings on one hand)
One pair of boots or shoes on the feet

These are the 'body slots'. All references to increases in price talk about 'items that take up space on the body' or 'body slot'. "Thing you hold in your hand' is not a body slot.
