Ok long story short I reinstalled windows over my back up partition. Please don't ask how.

Now I have two windows, and no back up. I've been trying R studios but only brings up empty folders. PC inspecter file recovery won't Find things without using up all my memory and crashing it.

Any help?!?!?

Okay, there is one, maybe that can help...but it will cost on the size of recovery, and have a credit card handy.

Data Recovery Software from Binary Biz

Edit: If you follow the instructions carefully, you can get everything back, even if it was formatted...I know, I did a test run with a sampler...it works!
But as before...it will cost. That choice is up to you.

Nope, We meant to install windows over what would usually be the c drive but somehow got them mixed up. I haven't got any money to spend on software though. I might be able to get someone I know to; they fix computers so they might want the program.

I did download a Trial one that worked, but it's crippleware, so theres no recovering untill I pay up. :(

What I'm mainly missing are pictures and PDFs. I have some of my .docs backed up though.

Well at least you didnt reformat. That means you are looking primarily at a software recovery instead of the possibility of a (far more expensive) hardware recovery.
