[UK] EN World GenCon UK Gathering

I have printed of and filled in Pre-reg forms so they are being sent off Monday morning.

RPGA membership? - Isnt it now Raven or something?

Do we have to pre-reg our characters for Isle of Woe?

Do we have to pay to play Isle of Woe?..If we do ...how much? where?

I'll be there as well, but I'll probably only be able to be there only on Saturday (I've nowhere to stay in London, and an hotel room would be a bit too expensive for me and my girlfriend). My train will normally arrive at Waterloo station at 8.48 (or 9.44 if there isn't room available in the other one) and it will leave at 19.22, so I suppose I won't have much time inside if I want to visit the Con too... Anyone from London knows how long it will take to go from Waterloo station to the place where the Con takes place?

I'd bank on half an hour - most things in central London seem to take half an hour... it's not very far, anyway.

Hello BeholderBurger! ;)

The RPGA doesn't do very much any more and most of their responsibilities have been taken over by Raven. You still have to join the RPGA to play a "living" game, but joining is free.

You don't have to pre-reg your characters. As long as they're 1st level and follow the Greyhawk PC geneartion rules, they should be OK. The DM on the day will have the final say. He may ask to see your character sheet at the beginning of the game.

You do have to pay to play Isle of Woe. It's only £4 per person (£3 if you're a Raven member, which I'm assuming you're not). Please sign up/pay for the Slot 13b, Sat 12pm, Isle of Woe from the Raven shop at the Raven site. Please see the link in my reply to your message above.

You can't order separately because the online ordering system requires a purchase of at least £5. So you may want to order for Miho and Terry Wogan as well. You may also want to purchase other gaming slots for other games. If you don't have a credit/debit card, I believe you can pay by cheque instead.

I strongly recommend that you make your gaming slot bookings sooner rather than later.

If you have more questions, please let me know. :)

I've pre-registered for Gen Con, and I'm now waiting for Raven's website to be up to register for the game... I've also booked my train, so now, I'm 100% sure to be there... See you soon guys!

Well I've emailed as regards this thread, but I'm posting here as well, just so you don't get surprised if I turn up on the day!

Just in case I can't make it back on email or internet before GenCon, I'll be around all four days, so at the very least if I see anyone holding an ENworld sign I'll be sure to turn up!

I like the idea of gaming in a pub, or even at a spare table if I remember last years GenCon. Some nice D&D would be great, there was precious little that wasn't RPGA last year.

Also, my brother is running (I believe) a Kalamar game using the 3D dungeon stuff, so if anyone wants to play in that it would be fun. His name is Neal Freeman, but I can't recall when the session is scheduled for.

See you there! Mine's a pint.

I can't register for Isle of Woe since the minimum price is 5£... :( None of my friends can play with me since I'm the only one who's fluent in English and I can't register for another game since I won't be there long enough to play two games and have time to look around and chat a little. If anyone still has something to buy from RavenUK, could he please register for me there. I could either pay you there or before using Paypal or a transfer between our bank accounts...

Hello BeholderBurger! :)

Use "Attachment" as the shipping method and they'll send you the tickets. I was a bit confused about that too, but that's definitely the one you want.

Thank you v. much for helping poilbrun. Please contact each other soon if you haven't already.

It looks like S'mon will be DMing the EN World game/meeting on Saturday afternoon some time (TBA) after Isle of Woe. :p
