[UK] EN World GenCon UK Gathering

Well I've emailed as regards this thread, but I'm posting here as well, just so you don't get surprised if I turn up on the day!

Just in case I can't make it back on email or internet before GenCon, I'll be around all four days, so at the very least if I see anyone holding an ENworld sign I'll be sure to turn up!

I like the idea of gaming in a pub, or even at a spare table if I remember last years GenCon. Some nice D&D would be great, there was precious little that wasn't RPGA last year.

Hello Tallarn! ;)

As I mentioned above, it looks like S'mon will be DMing the EN World game/meeting on Saturday afternoon. We haven't fixed a time yet. It'll probably start between 2.30 and 4pm and end around 7. I'll post the exact times as soon as we sort that out.

We won't be able to set an exact time until the CON, it'll depend on what's free - but I'll post an announcement on the CON's Delegate Organised Games (DOGS) notice board. Probably aim for 3pm.

Count me in, that would be great to play a game with you as DM, I've heard so much about your DMing!;)

We shouldn't have too much trouble finding a table. If it's like last year, there'll be plenty of spare tables on the ground floor, even if there isn't in the official gaming area on the upper floor.

In the unlikely event that there isn't a table at say, 3pm, on the Saturday, we can always have an EN World gathering before the game - perhaps have a snack or go to the trade area together, then start the game when a table becomes available. :)

The EN World meeting will include a game DMed by S'mon.

It would be very helpful if you could post below to say whether you'll be able to attend, so we can get an idea of the number of players.

Tentatively, we're aiming for 3pm on GenCon Saturday.

Thanks,

Zander

If BeholderBurger was able to book for me, I'll be playing the Isle of Woe game, and I would very much like to play the game DMed by S'mon, even though I'd have to leave a bit before the end (if the time is still between ~3 pm and 7 pm) since I'll have to be at Waterloo station at 7.05 pm...

I'm absolutely crapping myself, because although I've been DM'ing for over 10 years, I've never run any games at Gen Con before, so I'm making my debut at Gen Con UK 2002!

I've been reading all sorts of horror stories about nightmare gamers - rules lawyers, greasy-haired freaks etc. etc - and I don't know how I'll cope!

Still, as long as everyone gets a good game, I'll be satisfied.
