Ultimate Game Table Coming to eBAY

Agyris

First Post
Hi there -

I'm just letting people know that I'm putting "the original" Ultimate Game Table up on eBay, on November 12th or so.

This is the same table that was featured in Dec 2004 Dragon Magazine, as well as in many places on the web. Yes, it's that grotesque table with the message delivery orbs, built in speakers, and player stations.

And yes, it is a magnet for the ladies besides my grandma.

It's a blast to play on, and we designed it with both miniatures and pen & paper gaming in mind. (I like to do both). Since I've started my little publishing company (Steam Crow Press) I've had little time or space for gaming in my life. Agyris has been sadly idle. Now, I just really need the room.

The bidding will begin at $1.00, and will have no reserve. Shipping is up to the winner to figure out, but I'll store it for 90 days.

It's a great chance for a gaming group/store/company to have a cool centerpiece for the collection.

There is a gallery of it here, if you've never seen it before:

Further info will be posted at agyris.net and steamcrow.com

Be well, and help me spread the word.

Daniel

Hey, thank you!

My wife has been very understanding of it, for sure.

I'm glad you checked out my book, and thanks for the compliment. I'm in the midst of trying to build a career as an illustrator/artist, and publishing seems to be slowly working for me.

We'll see how this table goes. It could go for $400, it could go for $4000. Who knows?

The raw materials alone were around $600, so I hope I at least get that back. Getting the word out is really 3/4 of the battle, I think.

Holy CR@P!!

If I had the money (opr the house to put it in) and about 15 years worth of wifely good will saved up then yeah I'd go for it.

Tell me, have you got a budget model? perhaps one for 4 rather than 6 players???

But seriouslly that is one very cool gaming set up.

Your Geek-fu is strong indeed (that's a compliment by the way)

Wow, I remember this table. That would be very cool, as I'm in the midst of setting up a game room, but shipping to the Great White North might be prohibitive. I'll certainly watch this with interest, though.

Yeah, sadly, this is the only one we ever built. I'm glad that you like it, though.

My favorite feature is probably the built in audio... it sounds really good with the Conan soundtrack for certain.

Shipping is the hard part with this, depending on where you live. Southern California, pretty easy! Far north, certainly harder.

I have envied that thing since I first saw it, but I don't have anything like the room necessary for such a big damn table of awesomeness. And I hate to think of the shipping nightmare it poses. Hopefully, deserving gamer in your area will win the auction.
