unarmed strikes and weapon proficiencies

There, there, Veruca.

Now how much do you want for one of those Oompa Loompas, Wonka?

I say for people to keep watch on Necromancer Games.

IF I'm reading the signs right,
and IF Necromancer releases that 4E advanced player's guide they've been talking about,

then by October you'll likely have a Marmell-ized Monk for play in 4E with, without having to wait a long time for WotC to release the official one. :)

Well we know that Unarmed falls under the Improvised Weapon Category, which is where 'proficiency' comes from so everyone is proficient with unarmed attacks. You're probably looking at a baseline value for attack and damage there.

On the other hand, Unarmed also falls under the Unarmed Weapon Group. Weapon groups are more for determining which powers work with which attacks, but hypothetically it could also cover things like Weapon specialization feats. You could probably get a decent level brawler if you focused on it.
