OK, one more rules question for today. Let's say I have a human with a level in Exotic Weapon Master who takes Uncanny Blow as his first weapon master ability:
Uncanny Blow
When wielding a one-handed exotic melee weapon in two hands, the character can focus the power of his attack so that he deals damage equal to his Strength bonus x2 instead of his Strength bonus x1.5. If he has the Power Attack feat, he treats the weapon as two-handed for determining his bonus on damage rolls.
So, what's going on here? The Strength bonus bit makes sense, but the Power Attack is strange. By straight text, it allows you to treat a one-handed exotic melee weapon as two-handed for purposes of Power Attack, even if you're holding it in one hand. If you assume that's not what that last sentence is doing, then it's granting an ability a Power Attack user already has, because you can always wield a one-handed weapon in two hands for a 2:1 damage/attack tradeoff.
Does anyone know what's going on here?
