Precisely. The Harm spell has never been able to kill, poor wording in an attempt at a fi for the spell should not be construed to change the way it has worked for 4 editions and suddenly allow it to kill people.

Harm has never had a save.

Harm has never dealt fixed damage.

Why should we say "They mean what they wrote here 'cos they changed the wording, but they obviously don't mean what they say here, because of how it used to work"?

If nothing else about the spell had changed, you'd have a good point. But Harm is now a completely different spell. What it used to do is not particularly relevant.

The spell now says "If you save, you don't drop below 1 hit point".

This will not be the first time we have disagreed on a rules interpretation, and it won't be the last. So let's just move on with our lives. I'll go by what I believe the intent of the rules are, you go by exactly what they say, and we'll both be happy.
