Undermountain- Ch.1 Welcome

Langan Stonecutter: male shield dwarf evoker 1

Langan notices all the other people heading for the old man. He thinks, Are they going to rob him? He readies himself for casting, just in case. Langan relaxes when he sees that the strangers are trying to help the man. "Master wizard, why are you afraid for your apprentice? You must have trained her well. Once she finds out how dangerous the Undermountain is, she'll return wiser. Listen to your familiar. The rain'll do you no good."

Mardin nods, in agreement with the others. "Although if there is anything I can do to help, I will try to do so."

Galadath

OOC: He knows nothing about waterdeep so i will pass the check

Hmmm, this old human is a wizard, maybe he knows something about the half orc warlock
or at least direct me, or maybe one of those people who tries to help him

Galadath think to himself while taking the last bite from the sweat apple.
He approach slowly to them.
Greetings, I'm am Galadath from the elven realm of the wood elves in the high forest, do you need any help over here ?

Gorstag listens to the discussion of the wizard's apprentice.

"How long ago did your apprentice leave? Maybe we can still catch her."

"Arrgh," the old man sobs, "she snuck out of my house during the night, to go to the Undermountain with those Roaringhorn scalawags." "I told her not to go and not to listen to those dolts."

occ: Anybody with a score higher than a DC10, know what the Undermountain is, a huge dungeon created by a mad Arch-Mage now as Halaster.

Also that the Roaringhorns are a noble family in Waterdeep.

Langan says, "If it'll make you feel better I could try to find her. I've heard a lot about the Undermountain. I wonder if half the tales are true."

While still trying to comfort the old man Garret says, "Not to worry grandfather, I'll help to find Shalara and those scallywags she's with. Do you have any idea where they might have entered this Undermountain, as it will make finding them much simpler?"

"It is necessary to return the apprentice. Such discord in the natural order of things is a sign of dire trouble. And these... Roaringhorns have caused great disruption in the necessary order and must be punished," Luth says with a dogmatic air. "It is necessary that I go to correct this imbalance before it influences others to do the same. However, sir wizard, as much is this is necessary to be done, questing puts no bread in one's mouth, and investigating such a dangerous place places myself in great peril. Some compensation is in order for taking on such a task, in order to be assured that it is not done with limited resources," Luth says calmly and logically. His voice does not demand or accuse, but merely states the facts. "However, such negotiations are best done in the warmth and comfort of the home, not in the middle of a rainy market. Shall we retire to you abode?"

Galadath

How rude, no one even noticed me speaking. Galadath thinks to himself, are this how the city dwellers act.
I will help you to. he says to the old man. and smiles towerd him and the others.
