The first SIX?

*Sigh*

Why do those darn fantasy books always have to be like gazillion books.

Elric books aren't very long. Those six books total about 750 pages, or in other words less than some of the largest volumes of Wheel of Time.

The Elric stories are only loosely connected, bear in mind. (Except the first one, and the last one.) The majority of the material consists of short stories, not novels. And the books are 200 pages or so in softcover.

Lest anyone think we were talking about a gargantuan monstrosity here.

After thirty-someodd years it kinda adds up :) Here's a quick synopsis of the major books. Interesting to note that the original first novel differs greatly from the now-canonnical version.

A more complete bibliography can be found here.
