Unusual healing aid item

I am picturing a yarmulke (A.K.A a small hat worn by jewish men)... Am I right here or am I just completely off?

I think it is kinda a cool idea. It would add a bit of flavor to a character... is it a religious symbol in your game also?

I had envisioned it as a wreath of leaves. (like Roman laurel leaves.) but it could be anything...

The 'fragile' part is totally for role-playing. Just so he doesn't use it in combat. He takes it out, casts some heals, and puts it back. There is no concern about a 'high wind' trashing it. He just needs to be a bit careful with it; and not wear it in combat.
