Lately, two unusual questions came up in one of my games.
1. When a character is using his bare fists along with two-weapon fighting, what happens when you magic fang his fists? Are they both enchanted, or do you have to do each one at a time? What about a monk recieving magic weapon to the same ends? (I'm operating under the assumption that it's legal for monks to make off-hand unarmed strikes, since Skip Williams, WotC customer service, other WotC people, and common sense all say that monks are able to do so.)
2. When a character uses a two-handed weapon for his primary attack, and some unusual off-hand attack like a kick or armor spikes (again, just assume that there's no question as to the legality of this maneuver -- the 3.0 FAQ said it could be done with unarmed strikes, and Skip said it was legal with armor spikes in Dragon 319 -- and again, no good reason to make it illegal), what are the Strength bonuses to damage? The way I see it, there are two possibilities. The first is that everything adds up -- since you're double-gripping your primary weapon, you get x1.5 STR damage to that, and x0.5 damage to your secondary weapon. The other possibility is that a two-handed weapon + kick combo would work essentially like a double weapon. When you only make primary attacks with the weapon, you add x1.5 STR damage like normal, but when you fight with two weapons, the usual x1 and x0.5 STR bonuses "overrule" that double-grip. So, which do you think it should be?
