Unusual Weres

It is obvious I don't care much for standard mammalian (and other real world animals) therianthropes, but that doesn't mean that I wouldn't use animals that were created for the setting. And in the vein, I think it would be pointless to post the examples from Oathbound's forum since most of them are based on OB and Minions.

Except the elven wereankhegs who live underground (within 30' of the surface) and treat farmers as food. Their ansectors went to war with farmers and their god gave them a "gift" for the fight.

And why not make those paladins werehound archons?

I also always wanted to have, as a cohort, a were-warhorse monk. Would've been the fastest mount ever.
Bravestar?
Isn't it sad that the robot horse sidekick was cooler than the main character? :D I remember watching that show and thinking, "Geez, I wish that guy would just leave and let me watch the adventures of 30-30 and his gun Betsy!"

"Werewolf!"
"Werewolf?"
"There. There wolf. There castle."
"Why are you talking that way?"
"I thought you wanted to."

Sorry... had to ;)

Even when 3e caught up and presented the sea wolf, they still had a flaw that made them unsuitable for my undersea game... they were air-breathers. 3e also offered a sea tiger, so a sea weretiger or sea werecat would not be unreasonable. For water-breathing races, I'd go with wereshark, weresquid, or weremarlin.
