Upcoming Adventure Review

The rest of the stuff I had was a few random villages scattered along the road, nothing notably fancy. If you want to mine the thread for the names I used for them, go ahead, but that's about all that can really be gleaned from those parts. There was nothing particularly notable about the settlements.

Im not sure if Jezz's woods would create a conflict with the Feywood or not, but if it does, maybe that woods is another arm of the Feywood, and the Keep is somehow tied to the conflict the fey have with each other.

I wouldn't think there would be a conflict. The Feywood is 175 miles away based on what you've stated above.

Like I said, I wasn't sure about distances. Good to know there isn't an issue. Already merged Baron's Cross from another adventure with my original concept for the intersection to make things easier. Wanted to get that step out of the way sooner rather than later for this if it was necessary.

Aura (and anyone else who wishes to discuss this),

I've been thinking of ways to make the Silver Road idea work and I'm a bit stuck. Ideally, I would like it to function so that several DMs could operate at the same time (or even run a couple of things myself at the same time).

Right now, this is the best I've come up with:

'On the Silver Road' thread - an IC thread for all the travelers, PC and NPC. Experience isn't earned in this thread but characters can stay and roleplay even while they are off in a combat thread under the assumption that the roleplaying occurs in the times between events. For levels 1 to 4-ish

Silver Road Combat thread - an IC thread for the special events along the Road (perhaps it would be better named an Event thread rather than Combat; I want to encourage interactions rather than the wargame). There could be a couple of these as necessary so things don't get confused.

Thoughts? I'd like to get something up soon since we have characters in the DWI and (from what I can tell) Deuce's adventure will be ending soon.

I think, FrancisJohn, the no xp rule is only for the IC thread, not the combat/event thread. Does that address your concern?

Giving it some thought, GE. I had personally thought one DM at a time, taking turns, so I'm not sure how to implement concurrent DMs as you are seeing it. Hmmm.

Sunshadow, When I ran Road to Tritower, I skipped the Feywood idea on the presumption that it had been settled one way or another, but it certainly could be an issue once again.

I'm intrigued by this Silver Road idea and I think it would serve to keep new players around (I see there are a lot of approved characters who never saw play). If multiple encounters are running concurrently, though, then how does the thread not turn into utter chaos? Even the DWI seems to have gotten rather rowdy here and there with the main room and back rooms occupied at once. This is a genuine question, not criticism.

I don't have a good answer to that, Mortician. My thought was a general thread for chatter (the framework), then smaller character groups spin off into separate threads (as many as needed) for the adventure events. These spin-off threads would be focused; the main thread would indeed be a free-for-all. I think since it is a smaller subset of characters than the whole of LPF it should (I hope) be more manageable.

Also, I appreciate your questions and criticisms!
