Update!: Dragon 364: ToCs, new Demonicon, and Warforged as PCs!

Yeah, I'm totally geeking out at the Warforged article. I love what they've done. Both the Paragon Paths are nice, and they have most of the classic components, like the Armbow, Final Messenger, docents as well as a (afaik) new one called the shoulderbow (crossbow that pops out of the shoulder for a suprise). Also, Armor as feats is gone, but the fluff that you can design armor as plating-as well as most any other item (even thieves tools and implements) - using the enchant item ritual for no additonal cost is nifty.

Edit: Also, Shifter Cleric and Warforged Paladin pregens for Eberron KotS!

Also an editorial by Chris Youngs:

...all of Dragon's content will also be integrated with the D&D Compendium and other upcoming D&D Insider utilities.....Everything you'll see in these pages makes its way through our experienced, savvy developers, and our story team checks each article for internal continuity....if you see it in Dragon, it's D&D canon like never before....we'll be offering our readers the opportunity to playtest new D&D rules before the finished content sees print. Next month will kick off with a new class, and in the fall, we'll be offering up exclusive playtest opportunities for Player's Handbook II.

The warforged article is pure awesome. Lovely stuff, makes the race look really cool. I love how the 'Forged is now much more flexible, more part of the game. I was initially disappointed with the MM writeup, now having them just wear armour, but the new rules for attaching armour is good, though now the only advantage is reduced encumberance. And I want to play a 'Forged for the shoulder crossbow.

ETA: also, notice the tie-in to Adventurer's Vault?

I was hoping this would be the case, and it is! This make scribble HAPPY!

I think I am officially sold on the DDI.

I haven't had a subscription to dragon since like 94ish?

mmmmm... some very nice stuff already - and I'm looking forward to some of the articles yet to come! Keep this up, and I could be a subscriber...

The integration of the dragon rules into the rules compendium is absolutely fantastic! So many times I used to not bother finding a new rule/race/item because I couldn't be bothered to sift through the pile of dragon mags.

Who wants to bet the first dragon mag after they are no longer free will have a fully fleshed out Gnome?
