Urn Your Pay (Rae judging)

Round 2, continued

Ter-raen advances, replacing his sword and drawing a shortspear instead. (ooc: I assume he had his shield ready before. Otherwise he'd run out of move actions this round.)

The crocodile lunges towards Ter-raen. Before it strikes, an arrow from Apikotoa's bow flies past, drawing a furrow along the creature's back, but not penetrating. (ooc: hits AC 21 for 1 damage) The crocodile turns, snarling at Apikotoa, and lashes at Ter-raen with it's thick tail. It is only a glancing blow, but it still leaves Ter-raen bruised and bleeding. (ooc: 8 damage)

Now that the beast is close, everyone can see that there are several small darts or tiny arrows sticking out of its sensitive nose. The wounds do not look debilitating, but do look quite painful.

Gildrim...

Initiative:
Ter-raen 6/14
Apikotoa undamaged, attack readied
Crocodile 1 damage
Gildrim 8/9, 1 dex dmg. 15 AC <== You're up

"Fenenn attack!" Shouts Erf pointing to the north of Ter-raen, as he hurries forward and casts cure light wounds upon Ter-raen from behind; light floods from the druid's fingers partially closing Ter-raen's wounds.

Fenenn snarls and charges the crocodile his powerful jaws sinking into its flesh and drawing blood.

[sblock=Hit 18, 7 Damage, Heal 4 points on Ter-raen]Fenenn's charging attack, damage, Erf's cure light (1d20+5=18, 1d6+3=7, 1d8+1=4) I'd try Wild Empathy, but it takes a minute and I don't think Snappy is looking for conversation![/sblock]

Fenenn snarls and charges attacks the crocodile his powerful jaws sinking into its flesh and drawing blood. (ooc: Fenenn doesn't have a straight line path towards the croc to move, so he can't charge. It still hits without the charge, though)

Round 3

Ter-raen stabs, but his spear finds only mud.

Apikotoa, unable to get a clear shot, holds his fire.

The crocodile, maddened with pain, slaps Ter-raen again with its powerful tail, very nearly snapping his neck. (ooc: 8 damage, crit not confirmed)

"It will kill you if you don't get clear," says Gildrim distinctly. Keeping up his guard, he scuttles backwards, stopping with a splash off the edge of the island.

OOC: withdraw action to square SW of the southern tree.

Fenenn snaps again, but his jaws cannot penetrate the creatures thick hide, Erf tugs Fenenn back five feet, hopeing to at least draw the beast out onto land, Erf then flings his dagger at the beast and to his surprise it hits home quivering in the creatures neck.

"Gildrim do somethin'! Ye've got no guarantee its gonna just pass us by we've gotta fight!" He shouts.

HP 2/14, AC 18

Ter-raen nearly buckles under the impact of the powerful tail, but manages to stay up, although he's not too sure where that second crocodile came from. Sword and shield in a defensive pattern, Ter-raen moves away from the crocodile, hoping to get into a more advantageous position.

[sblock=ooc]Ouch. Withdraw to Apikotoa's position.[/sblock]

ooc: Need clarification: Does Erf take a 5' step back as well as Fenenn? If so, there should be a range penalty on his thrown dagger, if I understand that rule correctly.
