Utterdark Blast and Undead Warlock

I am planning to use an undead (Vampire) Warlock as the BBEG of ongoing adventure. And I am wondering if the Warlock can target himself with his own Utterdark Blast to heal hp. If he can, does he need to make an attack roll or the blast automatically hits? How about if he designate himself as one of secondary target of Utterdark Eldritch Chain?

Never-mind. It seems that I found the answer in PHB P.141. Ranged touch attacks are subcategory of touch attacks. And a character can touch one friend or himself and automatically touch.

Hmm... a regular Warlock-16 with Tomb-Tainted Soul then becomes able to infinitely heal himself. Just, you know - needs to find some way of avoiding the negative levels.
