Wing Commander I and/or II could be made into a solid movie, with kind of a retro, 1950s-movie-about-World-World-Two feel to it. Y'know, introduce the characters; show them in training; show some low-level missions; and then build up to the climactic "boss" mission (assault on K'Tithrak Mang would be a good one).
They could.

They didn't.

:p

Castlevania: I've been a fan of these games ever since I was in grade school. I'd love to see an action/horror movie depicting the Belmont clan's centuries-long struggle against the forces of darkness. Featuring hordes of undead and demonic creatures as well as horror icons like the wolfman, the mummy, and Count Dracula, this movie could be everything that Van Helsing should have been.

IIRC Uwe Boll is rumored to consider making a Castlevania movie...

They've already made this movie. It's not out until next year, but it has the potential to be really great. The director was Christophe Gans (Brotherhood of the Wolf) and it was co-written by Roger Avary (Pulp Fiction). Plus, it has Sean Bean. I trust in the Bean.

There was this big picture of Sean Bean relaxing on the job in the newspaper one of those days during filming.

Well, imo, we've already seen Simon Belmont on screen, played by Richard E. Grant. The movie was Warlock, and sure he hunted a witch instead of Dracula, in modern day Hollywood instead of Transylvania, but damn it was him.

Are you sure of this? I just IMDBed him, and there is no mention of this Warlock movie.

Somebody must've made an omission in his filmography, then, because that's him. If you check under the movie title he's in the cast as "Giles Redferne". :)

Normally, there would have been a massive list from me on games I'd love to see as a movie - that is, until Uwe Boll got his filthy hands on a bunch of game-to-movie rights.

Now, the entire concept of a video game made into a movie leaves a bad taste in my mouth...
