Videogames that you'd like to see made into movies.

Some of these suggestions must be jokes... Civilization: The Movie? WHAT?!?
Zork? While Zork was a great game... It would make a slow, pointless movie. The idea would be to collect random treasures from a dungeon that didn't make any sense?
If you're going to go for an Infocom game, I'd go with Planetfall or Enchanter. At least there was a plot to those...

Next you'll be screaming for a Katamari Damacy movie. Could be a cult classic, I suppose. :D

Planescape Torment WOULD make a great movie... That no one would go to see. Sad, really.

Starcraft and Warcraft both have great stories that could be turned into movies fairly easily.

Knights of the Old Republic (One) is essentially the movie that Star Wars I should have been. It would make a terrific movie.

But I think I would give it all up if everybody would just promise to never make another videogame movie again. Or movie videogames. Either way. Unless it's Attack of the Killer Tomatoes or Kentucky Fried Movie.

Oh dear God no more movies made from video games. Or old TV shows. Or comic books.

Enough already.

Are you annoyed because of the idea of those types of movies, or because they've generally been bad movies, with a few exceptions? Personally, I don't care if they make movies from games, tv shows or comic books if the movie is good and entertaining, which, unfortunately seems to be difficult to do.

My son plays a console game called Red Ninja - End of Honor, which I lovingly refer to as "The Big-Boobed Ninja Game."

I'd watch that as a movie. :)

I'd have to put in my two cents. American Mcgee's Alice.
That would make a kicking movie. It already has a wonderful, dark plot to it. :)

I'd love to see a Metal Gear movie. Heck, the Metal Gear Solid series of games are half-movies anyways... Hideo Kojima loves to tell his stories. Something set before or during the original Outer Heaven incident (the setting of the original Nintendo game) would be cool, and most appropriate since the stories from the Solid games are already very well-cinematized.

I'll second the request for a System Shock (I or II) movie. Great games.

Pixar could do one heck of a Monkey Island movie (especially now that they've separated from Disney).
