The PastryArchy Cookies and Cream White Stout by DuClaw was not good (had kind of a flat burnt? taste). So, I let the sink finish that one.

The Roswell, 1954 Vanilla Porter by Flying Machine Brewery came in for relief. That one was drinkable but that was about it. Maybe it was my doing an atrocious pour, but it started almost like a nitro feeling in terms of carbonation. After that it was too bitter for my liking.

So had an old faithful tonight.

Lager shortlist that one.

Accompanied this.

Went to the supermarket afterwards. And found these after years of looking.

Volfas Engelman Lithuanian beer. Really enjoyed the one on the right but the supermarket had 5 or so to choose frome. Left the IPA on the shelf along with that Australian APA they did which was a bit crap.

So cracked a Volfas Engelman dark
lager. Bohemijos 4.2%.

Gold cap foil on top of the can includes. Poured very dark was expecting a porter.

Not remotely bitter swung the other way with slightly sweet malted caramel taste. Mouthful was very smooth reminiscent of Guiness or killkenny but not as creamy.

Reminds me slightly of 8.6 Gold and Dark. It's very good gonna go either an 8.5.

8.2 on BA.

Scratches my itch for good eastern European beers from countries with capitals not starting with M.
