Three Sisters APA 5 6%

20231007_200118.jpg

Generally prefer APAs over IPAs. On the plus side it's a good one. Downside it's just a somewhat generic APA. It's nice 7.5/10?

Some Mexican lager with fruit down the spout. Legs getting fuzzy.

4.5% it's fine 7/10. Cheap though.

Run to the two nearby stores with big selections (there is one a bit further in the opposite direction, and a much smaller one where I don't trust the dates on singles that is closer). No new non-sour/non-IPA pumpkins to try and a lot fewer non-barrel aged stouts. A bunch of wheat beers I hadn't seen before.

Eight wheats - two old standbys and six new-to-me ones.

And four new other ones.

Came out to about $60 US including tax, but I missed that the price on one of them was $10 until I was paying.

Where's that battle of the baltics from?
Pontoon Brewing in Georgia (USA) North of Atlanta. Never tried anything by them before. I'm never quite sure how American craft brewers find their name.

Hit the third of the big local places today since we got brunch across the street. They have a much nicer singles selection.

This side is all domestics with the first half of that picture being all singles, and then part way down switching to have some six packs too. The opposite side is imports and is maybe 1/3 singles. They also had a lot of non-IPA PAs.

Only picked up four though since the ones from yesterday will last awhile. The Modelo is for my dad who is coming in to visit when he's not interested splitting one of the others and I haven't tried the other three. They had a few other pumpkins I hadn't tried before, but not in the singles.

No good angles to get it all in, but Octoberfest yesterday with my Dad and a friend :). The Festbier was good and the Weissbier was spectacular. They had smoked brats and grilled ones (had never had the former before, and it was very good) and really good sauerkraut. The polka version of We Will Rock You was neat.

The Autumn Blaze Pumpkin Fall Ale by Captain Lawrence was drinkable but that's about it.
