Void Disciple

You know, I have just realized that Void Disciple is the most overpowered prestiege class, ever. Step aside Ur-priest. Step aside Incantatrix. Step aside Cheaters of Mystra.

At level four you get Moment of Clarity, the ability to mimic any feat, twice per day, four rounds each. As far as I can tell from the text, you do NOT need to meet the prerequisites.

Combine this with Innate Spell and you'll be able to cast absolutely whatever you want - all for four levels of investment.

You missed one thing- the first sentence of Moment of Clarity reads (emphasis mine):

"A void disciple of 4tth level or higher can grant an ally the temporary ability to perform any skill or feat (with the exception of ancestor feats)." (Comp.Div. p73)

(Note- personally, I'd expand "ancestor feats" to include all feats that require a specific bloodline or can only be taken at first level, like Spellfire because ancestor feats are basically based on bloodlines.)

Its not the Void Disciple giving himself the powers- he's buffing his allies, 2xDay (+1 use/4 VD levels), and the effect lasts 1rd/VD level.

Its a nice ability, but he needs pals to use it.

Fine. Cast it on his familiar. It doesn't matter - it's still 2x4 spells from ANY list. A character can become a VD at level 7, so a level 11 char with VD 4 can cast (or cause someone else to cast) Miracle eight times.

Um, how do they cast Miracle eight times? They're granting feats I thought, and no GM with half a brain will allow you to take Innate Spell when you can't cast the spell you wish to make innate.

What is the text of innate spell?

The PGtF-version is something along the lines of "give up one spell slot of the appropriate spell level and get the spell as 3/day spell-like ability."

The CArc-version says "spell slot +8 and /will"

You pay XP for each use and need an expensive focus instead of material components.

So you just need a familiar who has a 9th-level (or 16-th-level) slot and you get your miracles. This is too easy, we should ban the whole book said ability is in. :D

The PGtF version says "Choose a spell that you know. You can now use this spell 3 times per day as a spell like ability" then goes on to mention the details (like still paying xp for spells that require it, having a very expensive focus if it requires material components, etc, giving up a slot of that level permanently etc).

So its not really very abusive at all.
