4th edition loves class names starting in W, and here we are with #2, the Warlord. In today's poll, we're looking for your favorite Paragon Path for a Martial Leader. As always, the winner will proceed to the Champions round.

I haven't had the chance to try out a Warlord yet so maybe the Warlord fans here can tell us something about their choice?

All my warlord test builds have been concept builds based on specific weapons, and so used fighter paths for those weapons (which was often either pit fighter or kensai). I guess I just like my leaders strikery.

The Battle Captain is a party's Best Friend. Especially at level 21, when he grabs the feat that allows him to do Inspiring Word on two allies, 4 times per combat.

The way I built mine, this means that at level 21, when doing Inspiring Word, he can make two allies spend a healing surge, make a saving throw (or add 5d6 to the hit points healed), have +8 on movement for one round, and have +8 on all attacks for one round. All this, 4 times every fight. At the cost of a minor action, allowing him to do other stuff like move and make a standard action.

NOTHING comes even close to this.

There are so many Warlord PP's I like, it's hard to pick. I went with Knight Commander, but I also love Combat Veteran and Commando Captain. And no doubt Battle Captain, Battlelord of Kord, Infernal Strategist, and Spiral Tactician are all powerful for their relevant builds.
