I just wanna know how I got 8 votes! I didn't even vote for me (not because of humility, or anything; there was simply a long list of people who I thought would do a better job of it).

and I got three votes.. whoohooo... that's three more than i expected.

my theory is that other people voted for us little people to divert some votes away from teh supergiants...

Yes, that seems to be how it is. Have you been watching this over time? I didn't actually take time-series data, I wish I had. There are some interesting trends...

The front runners became obvious within hours, and they stayed that way. Every single time I looked, CRGreathouse and Teflon Billy were within one or two votes of each other. It was downright eerie. While such a thing is possible, I am left wondering if perhaps having the poll results visible during the election affected the results. How often did people look at the poll results before voting?

it's pretty clear that i will not be one of the finalists for the ennies judging. while that's a disappointment, i am a bit overwhelmed in having garnered as many votes as i have.

i just wanted to say a heartfelt "thank you" to everone who voted for me.

and maybe next year i'll throw my hat into the ring again.

Heh heh...of course, it will be hard to close the gap with Mr. CRGreathouse and Mr. Billy...but it sure is exciting watching the votes go up.
