Does the bonus to hit and damage that a high level character with Vow of Poverty gets apply to the Eldritch Blast of a Warlock?
The enhancement bonus to hit & damage should be able to work with an eldritch blast.

The good-aligned aspect gained at 10th level wouldn't, since that specifically says it applies to weapon damage.

Hard to say. I would guess, that it was meant to apply to weapons. OTOH, eldritch blast is like weapon-like spells, and some weapon-specific feats (etc) do work with those.

But an enhancement bonus on a spell-like attack? Doesn't really sound right. :D

I agree with Thanee. Enhancement bonuses do not apply to spells or spell like abilities (which is what an eldritch blast is). You can't cast greater magic weapon on eldritch blast can you? If no, then the enhancement bonus from VoP does not affect it.

Unlike greater magic weapon, Exalted Strike does not say the enhancement bonus is for weapons only ("At 4th level, an ascetic gains a +1 enhancement bonus on all his attack & damage rolls."). Like I said, the good-aligned ability gained later specifically says it applies to weapon attacks.

The VoP breaks the normal rules. :shrugs: Like allowing an ability score enhancement higher than +6 in non-epic.

You & Thanee are probably right about the intent, but the warlock came about after the BoED, & I don't think there is anything game-breaking about an Eldritch Blast with an enhancement bonus ('s no bonus to penetrate SR).

Damage-wise, a chasuble of fell power is always better than the enhancement bonus.

Attack-bonus wise...well, usually at high levels (where the bonus starts to kick in) ranged touch attacks are not that difficult to make.

So I don't think it will break the character. I was just curious as to which way the rules-meisters would say it goes.
