Vow of Poverty and Wizards

To make it easy I'd just say that with the feat they get their normal 2 and X more that have certain restrictions. Makes it easy and dont have to worry about anything else ;)

If a spellbook is allowed, then it might completely skew the Vow of Poverty rules. A spellbook frequently takes up a large portion of each wizard's wealth, and allowing an Ascetic Wizard the ability to scribe spells into his spellbook will probably unbalance an already-iffy feat.

If the Wizard is only allowed his two spells every level, he's hamstrung. A sorcerer will usually know more spells than he does, and be able to cast them a lot more often, whenever he wants to.

And, from a roleplay perspective, that scroll of Horrid Wilting the party found is worth how much? Do you realize how many orphans that would feed if you sold it?

But then again, I AM an evil GM... :D

this reminds me of the old adage.

build a man a fire and he'll be warm for a day, set a man on fire and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.

I think you see where I am going ;)
