Vow of Poverty

I know it says you can own one set of clothing, but I can't remember what it stipulates about those clothing.

Could you simply replace your current clothing with whatever clothing was part of the disquise?
You can only wear simple clothing, like a peasant's garb. If the desired disguise fits the bill, then you could doff your clothes and replace it, as long as the weapon was simple nonmasterwork

Hmmm, I can imagine trying to satisfy biological needs to be quite arduous... You can't use toilet paper! :D

Aiee! You're right. You have to wipe it off across the ground or something. Or use Mage Hand...

I find it amusing that a VoP character can't administer a dying friend's potion of cure light wounds to him if he wants to keep his powers.

The feat specifically says that you can wear simple clothes. By simple, I take it to meaning non-magical and non-extravagant. If a VoP character can't even carry a weapon as part of a disguise, then how is he supposed to carry any treasure he finds back to town to distribute to charity? Especially if he's a lone traveler.

The feat mentions that you can benefit from magic items used on your behalf. I don't see why non-magical items shouldn't apply to that either--If you can drink a potion of cure light wounds a friend gives you, why can't you wear a disguise he gives you? As long as you give up the disguise as soon as you're able, there should be no consequences.

I guess you will also have to eat your meat raw, since you can't use a stake to set it over the fire. I suppose you could hold it over the fire with your hands. :D

You'll also have to mix up your porridge in your hands, since you can't use a bowl or spoon to do so. After all, the feat specifically says you only get a simple sack to carry your food in.

It's a wonder any VoP character survives long enough to get the sustenance ability.

You can hold the weapon as part of the disguise only if it is your only weapon and only if it is simple and non-masterwork.

Use the sack as a bowl :D

Also, someone else can cook the meat for you.

These are the points I was trying to make as well. I agree. The Book of Exalted Deeds needs a 3.5 facelift and some clarifications.
