W2: The Search For Tomas Quinn (Rae Judging)

BigB said:
Cepheus will move forward a bit with hooked hammer ready and call out to the blacklilly Bluff (1d20+2=11) We do not wish to harm you, but will if you force us. Come with us quietly and no harm will come to you.

Mearran smiles and waits to see the results of diplomacy. Perhaps I miss judged them.

Mearran steps back, as Cepheus gets ready to speak. Of course, before Ceph can speak, Solange leaps forward with her quarterstaff, and swings wildly - the attack easily blocked by the blacklily.

OOC: Both Ceph and Mearran can change their actions, since they were later in the initiative order. But it's pretty obvious bluffing ain't gonna work, now.

BTW, the new order for group #2 will be:

GROUP TWO:
Blacklily
Solange
Mearran
Cepheus

Mearran frowns. Still unsure about attacking others, he will delay as long as possible. If it looks like the others will need his help he'll call on Triton(dog) to help them by attacking.

OoC: Handle animal(+10)
Bite+3 1d6+3
Dice roller is down.

Mearran's dog rushes forward, and tries to bite the blacklily, can't get close. It does little more than growl. (OOC: Rolled a nat 1)

Edit: Ceph, you can still take your action. Bluffing ain't gonna work.

ooc: I was going to say frustrated Cepheus rushes forward and attacks with his hooked hammer.....after roll result....(/ooc)

Cepheus trips over his own feet and lands on his face in an attempt to hit the blacklilly1d20+1=2, 1d6-2=4

ooc:ouch

Pendrake follows suit. when he sees aiken on the other side he says, "Wach ds shins, Aiken, or you vill be achin' "

OOC: Sorry, guys. Had to leave town on short notice a few days' ago. Just Valentine's Day stuff - we decided to be impulsive and head down to Vancouver. Fun stuff. ;)

There'll be a post tomorrow, or Saturday at the latest (I have the day off on Saturday, for sure).

ROUND TWO

Aiken and Pendrake stash the body, and make their way to the nearby window, hoping to bend the bars to let themselves in. They don't know what's going on with their companions. They fail to see Cepheus fumble on his attack.

GROUP TWO, ROUND TWO
Blacklily 3 HP remaining
Solange
Mearran
Cepheus

The blacklily takes a fast stab(1d20+2=3, 1d6+1=2) at Cepheus, but misses horribly.

Mearran's dog makes a lunge at the blacklily, and grabs a hold of the rogue's leg. When the dog bites down, the thief grunts in intense pain.

Triton's attack on Blacklily Guard, round two (1d20+3=20, 1d6+3=5)

All three PCs can take an action for round two. As for Aiken and Pendrake - the bars to the window are almost at the same height as Aiken's head. It should be relatively easy for Pendrake to open them with a strength check, given time...

Pendrake sheaths his sword and quietly sets the shield against the building within easy reach. he looks at Aiken and grins as he grabs the bars. he puuuuuulllllsssss.....

strength check is d 20 plus ability mod, right? if so, his mod is +3.

]ooc[ Wik, as i am still not resolved in my issue with invisible castle, could i bekon upon your generosity and have you conjure forth the result from said falicitously argumentive websight for me and take care of the rolling, please?]/ooc[

edit: pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese?!
