Seeing T'Ranis in trouble and Tondrek safely in some cover, Guardian 5' steps toward T'Ranis, draws his blade, and brings it down at the most injured hobgoblin in range.

WEll, the ray just barely hits. And it knocks the sniper to 1. But he still would have made his rapid shot. (He had toughness as a feat... who says Toughness is useless!)

Lori's bolt of fiery energy nearly incinerates the sniper as he lets loose the arrows. However, after nearly being killed, rather than staying into position to attack some more, he gets ready to run.

Yeah, RS is a full action, so the gob's still there. Just really foreshadowing it's next turn. Ie - it's getting ready to run.
