The healing system sticks out in my mind. My players hated the surprise rules. There were others, but it's a bit fuzzy at the moment.

Yes.
My group received an e-mail titled, "D&D Next Playtest Survey" on May 31st.
It contained a link to a SurveyGizmo survey.
However, it does state that the survey runs from May 31 to June 13th. So that survey is over.
I would check your entered e-mail and contact customer service.
