Wand target question

What are the target limitations of a spell from a wand? For example, if I had a wand of detect secret doors, could only the character wielding the wand use it, or could the wand wielder cast the spell on another creature? What about for a spell like expeditious retreat (with a range of personal)? I've been searching but have been unsuccesful in finding any rulings on this (probably lame search criteria).

The same limits as the actual spell. The wand user is the 'caster' for things like personal spells.
