Wanted: solid info on new WoD

If it's any consolation, the people who worked on the previous WoD also liked it a lot — and the people who are working on the new WoD like that one a lot, too. Things will be different, and I'm sure that'll be no fun for people who are looking for more of the same. But a lot of careful thought has gone into deciding just what was cool about the World of Darkness in the first place, and how to continue to apply those strong points while doing something fresh and new.

We can't say much of anything about what will come, but we're allowed to say that it's pretty cool.

Heck, I might even actually consider getting it when it comes out. I'll at least be looking to see what they did with it.

So the ubervampire lord turns all the vampire lords into mortals, right, and they have to go into the world and fight each other, right.

Don't worry Ethan, I'm still hooked on WoD, I'm POSITIVE I'll at least read through the book (most likely at my local Borders ) and then decide on whether or not to get it.

Just for the record, White Wolf never denied the new WoD. It was actually mentioned in the very first Time Of Judgment press release they put up on their web site. It said, toward the bottom, something like "An all new World of Darkness begins August, 2004." It was kinda buried in there, though, so a lot of folks missed it. Heck, I knew it was there, and I still missed it on the first read-through.

Record heard. Like I said, those were just my initial impressions. I've never been that well-informed on industry happenings, and I could make a career out of missing press releases (if it paid anything, that is).

AFAIK, they're still making Vamp DA stuff, so the current DA maybe will still be the prequel for the new Vamp setting.

I bet they'll be creating more monster: the whatever type games for the new World of Darkness. Possibilities include:

Succubus: the Lust (It will put AV's BoEF to shame !)

Smurf: the Smurfing

Lawyer: the Parasite (Now that's scary to think about!)

Goth: the Angst (all the WW goths get their own game )

Terrorist: the Jihad (Players get to take the role of angst ridden terrorists )
