@Liquidsabre: In general I think the ES is fine that way (and I like the new restriction), but the Warmage is already severely limited with the spell selection and there I think you really don't want to lose out on one of their advantages (spontaneous choice of element).
Oh, and for the record, I don't like all those feats in Frostburn. I don't really see what's so magical about cold, that there are a dozen feats that make cold magic better, for no obvious reason (but the necessity to have a few dozen feats in the book).
