Warcraft RPG (interest?)

I'd love to play in this as I have all the Warcraft games and expansion packs, but I haven't got the actual book yet :-/

Don't think so. The principal is still DnD. There's all new races, 3 new classes and a bunch of new PrCs though.

Classes: Fighter, Barbarian, Rogue, Sorceror, Wizard, Healer, Scout, Tinker

Also, Warcraft relies heavily on PrCs. The Healer is simply a tuned down cleric (no domains, not as good weapon/armor proficiencies, no turn undead, less spells to choose from, but a feat at every 5 levels), but there are PrCs to severely boost the class.

Sorry, but illness cast me down over the last days.

Now that I see interest, I will prepare & gather my scatterd notes.

I am ok with a horde-style campagin, but I plan on using the neutral
goblin city of Rachet, too. This will be one of the main bases in the
campagin. But giving it a definitive Horde twist is no problem.

The fist stuff i deliver will probably be pretty basic, to make me more
comfortable with the PbP medium and the fluff & crunsh as presented
in the WCRPG book. I DID read it, but now again with a look for
adventure opportunity.

To give you some ideas what I would allow for characters I offer
you the following guidelines:

* 4th level
* 28 point buy.
* for creation, you get a fixed number of hp for levels 2,3,4: for d4 you get
2,5 hp, for a d6:4, d8: 5,5, d10: 7, and d12: 8,5.
After summung this up, drop all fractions:
e.g Ftr2/rog1/Hlr1 -> 10+7+4+5,5=26,5 which rounds to 26
* I want no scourge or burning legion sympathy people. No chars evil to
the core. WC3 proved the the horde is NOT evil per se and I want to
keep it that way.
* beginning gold is 3000 gp. I know this is below what the DMG offers for
4th level chars, but I want more economic verisimilitude in the game
so while treasure will less than might be randomly generated by treasure
tables, it will be still over the income of "Normal" people.
* designing a background for you character WILL be apreciated and I am open
to a group concept.
* you will not need the WCRPG book to play, but I want familiarity with the
"world of warcraft". For other rules the SRD3.5 should suffice, although
I will use PHB, DMG and MM.

these are my basic ideas, but look for a longer post tomorrow.
I think I should start the definitive recruitment with that post also.
But so far we have:

garyh - orc scout
venus - shaman?
Thels - ?
dead_radish - one of three ideas
Robert_Raets - ?
King of chaos - ?

these people are on my primary list.
I look forward to play.

Woo hoo!

I'm still waffling horribly - mainly it'll depend on what others play, I think. The Orc would be a barbarian, with a big axe, fanatically loyal to the horde, with a hatred for Hellscream and those that corrupted the Horde.

The Tauren would be more of a spiritual warrior/clerical type - I just liked the Tauren.

The Night Elf would be an archer type, possibly even moving on to Horde assassin - more of a cold and mercenary type than a "good" person, but very trustworthy, if you know where the money's coming from. ;) Some of the warcraft archery feats are just neat.

I think it'll mainly depend on what the group is lacking.

Well, Garyh called the scout, and I don't want to double up on classes with something new like this. I'm thinking about Gnome Tinker, but I might go for Orc Fighter instead, and switch to Mounted Warrior later on.
