Warcraft lends itself to be used with the D20 system. I'm trying to start a campaign based on Warcraft III. Anybody have any ideas?

pc's can be undead or are they limited to human elf and orc? or would you allow all that races that made an appearence like the gnomes and dwarves. i guess that leaves out halflings and half-elves.

I'd probably have to add Tauren too, which I've worked out to be a Large-size version of an orc. You could make a distinction between the Night Elves and the High Elves. Goblins are a must, because they're cool. For the Human Undead (Necromancer, Acolyte, etc...), I'm thinking about a race called the Damned.

will there be new classes like demon hunter or dread lord. or would the dread lord be a race.
----
CrimsonOgre:
Demon Hunter...hmm...
There's a class in the DMG called "Undead Stalker." If you rename that class "Demon Hunter" and give it a Wild Shape at Level 20...
Or if you favor non-Hero players, some of the prestige classes in the Oriental Adventures might work. (I favor the latter, with the Demon Hunter as a Rogue for his first few levels).
If the Dreadlord were a race, it would be a notch unbalanced and you'd have to count his levels higher than the actually were (probably +2 or +3).

would all the races fight the undead or eachother? what point in the warcraft history does the campagn take place
----
CrimsonOgre:
Most likely after <spoiler>Archimonde's death</spoiler>.
----
would you follow the single player story and use it as a module?
----
CrimsonOgre:
See above.

perhaps the pc's should be a priest or a grunt instead of the hero, i rarely like being the most powerfull in the campagn myself. i mean the hero is the most powerfull right from the start. maybe you can only be a hero if you have 10 levels of a npc class then you get pc class levels and become the hero
in the end warcraft would make a good setting and you would have to find ways to make d&d warcraft or make warcraft d&d.
i would think making warcraft d&d would be easier but maybe it would be interesing to rework the classes spells and items to fit the warcraft way. 10 levels 4 abilities

CrimsonOgre:
I agree. With everything.

so many thing to ask and suggest but i don't want to go on too long i'll check back and post more if i think it will help
What is it about Warcraft III that you'd like in your D&D game? The backstory? The imagery? Certain units?I'm trying to start a campaign based on Warcraft III. Anybody have any ideas?

Night Elves are as Elves except: +2 Dex, +2 Int, +2 Cha, -2 Str, -2 Con, +2 Hide, Favored Class: Druid
The Tauren:
Tauren: +4 Str , +2 Con, -2 Wis, -2 Dex, -2 Cha, Large Size, Base Speed 30 ft., Low-Light Vision, Languages: Common, Tauren, Favored Class: Barbarian
I would include descriptions, but we all know what we are talking about.
