Warforged Paragon - What do you think?

... and who says there aren't warforged destriders? Half-golem Nightmares? Engines of warhorse?

Anyway... your Paragon seems strong compared to some of the classes in UA, but over all I think it's decent.

The "more like a construct" and the "con bonus" things are a bit dissonant, but what the heck. Maybe a +2 bonus to Str would be better? Or DR 3/-- (stacks with other DR/--)?

A class thats meant to make the warforged more construct like giving a boost to con? Not a good idea but I was always uncomfortable with the living construct idea. I agree with Nifft just give them either a bonus to strength or DR. I'd recommend DR 1/- or DR 2/-. Nothing greater.

Don't have the book at hand, but IIRC they weigh in at something like 250 lbs, give or take. Might seem much, but remember that the mount doesn't need to carry a suit of armor in addition to the forged's weight - that one's included for free.

That's approximately right. I think the three I've seen played were around 275. So not too heavy for a horse, considering that includes armor weight.

The base weight is 270 lbs. The weight mod is 2d6(Height mod)x4. So the minimum weight is 278. The max is 318.

In an amazing instance of timing, today's Dragonshard is about warforged, and revises their weights:
Composite (default): 270, x4 (average 298)
Adamantine: 320, x6 (average 362)
Mithral or Darkwood: 180, x2 (average 194)
Unarmored: 225, x3 (average 246).

The adamantine body will clock in at a medium load for both light and heavy warhorses (231-460 and 301-600 lbs). IIRC, a magebred animal gets a Strength bonus, so they could conceivably squeeze in at a light load for a heavy warhorse, but probably not when you include equipment as well.

The warforged in my campaign, which is the character played by the guy who made up the class and the reason I started this thread, calculated his character weighs 404 lbs. since he has the Adamantine Body feat. :)

I went back and looked at Warforged in their natural habitat, and they do indeed get a Con bonus when starting out. Who knew. So, I think the Con +2 is probably appropriate for Warforged, even if it's grossly inappropriate for any other construct ever.

There's still the issue of "it's kinda strong", but that could just be because most other Paragons are kinda weak.
