Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay n00bie

From my flipping around, I liked the mohawked dwarf class (?).

Ah, yes, the Trollslayers. Dwarves who have been shamed to such a degree that the only way of atoning for their past sins is to seek Glorious Death(TM) in combat. Thus they have a certain tendency to seek out the biggest, toughest monsters they can find, and charge them. They are called "Trollslayers" because charging a troll tends to be a really effective way of dying...

We've had quite a few Trollslayers in our campaign, and they can be a fun addition to a party. They are really tough fighters, but not at all skilled at subterfuge or social interaction. Thus they need careful handling by their fellow party members - they are very useful fighters, but they need to be steered into the right direction. And if there is no trouble they can find, they tend to generate trouble so that there is something they can fight. So providing some sort of "entertainment" for them is a vital skill of Trollslayer management...

Had a few in my games too, people would flee before them as one was bad enough but three were impossible to deal with. :D Good thing they had a short life.

FYI they have the DragonSayer on the Black Industry site.

Cool! I can see the minatures game roots. I imagine the trollslayer minature is a impressive figure on the table, especially with the colored mohawk.

Good point. Dwarves in fantasy literature aren't known for their stealth, but I guess the trollslayer is the epitome of loud. As for always picking a fight, I have players that already do that; I'll have to mention the class to any interested dwarf players.
