Warlock's Eldritch Blast affecting objects

Hello all,

I haven't read the Eldritch Blast thoroughly, but I came across the fact that Eldritch Blast affects objects, although at ½ power.

First of all, does hardness apply? I doubt it, but want to make sure.

Secondly, since the Warlock may use his Eldritch Blast ability ad nauseam, given time, he can destroy pretty much anything?

May the Eldritch Blast be used to sunder an opponent's equipment?

Thanks in advance.

Hardness should apply to eldritch blast attacks, afterall hardness still applies to magical energy attacks if I'm reading the text right.

Hardness normally does apply against magic attacks. It's only bypassed when the material is especially vulnerable to the energy form, or in a few other special cases. A fire attack would work very well in destroying a wooden building, as you'd expect, but would take an awfully long time to melt through a stone wall.

Sunder can only be done as a melee attack, unless you have a special ability that says otherwise.

Guess they could take the feat ranged sunder. Btw I would imagine we would almost never see a Warlock without the feats Point Blank Shot and Precise Shot eh?
