Wanting to finish this creature, Torqua's body begins to hum with blue energy as she takes a step to the right. With her body charged with arcane energy, she jumps into the air and body slams the ground with a thunderous boom, sending a shockwave at the ankheg.

OOC: Moving to N13, using Encounter Power Thunder Slam at DA2. Fail attack with 8+3=11 vs fort. 1d20+3=11 Need way to improve attack rolls.

Myoko continued to focus on the creature she was facing- shifting her footing only a little, she kept stabbing at the beast with her spear. This time the tip of her weapon simply glanced off the creature's armored plates, and Myoko gave a hiss of frustration...

OOC:
Standard: attacking with Opening Shove against DA2; 1d20+6 vs. REF= 14 (miss); roll Roll Lookup

The ankheg looks like it will crumble in a few moments after Frost's last attack, however, the creature decides to keep fighting! It turns to Vardaal and grabs him from the belly with it's pincers, lifting the bugbear in the air. The vermin crushes the bugbear under it's clawed mouth!

*wasn't sure by the description if Vardaal's still grabbed.

The adult Ankheg contorts in death's agony, it falls to the sand, shakes its legs up, and cease moving, lying still.
Free from the ankheg's death embrace, the reckless bugbear charges, trips, falls, gets up, charges again, and cleaves his massive blade into the Ankheg. The creature screeches, turns and bites at Vardaal hard. The wound is deep, and the bugbear can't hold it any more. He drops to ground, holding his abdomen.

Acid spit (Ranged) (standard; encounter)
+7 vs. Relfex; 3d8 acid damage. Hit: target weakened (save ends)
One such attack depletes the ankheg’s acid supply for the rest of the
encounter. Once used, the ankheg can’t deal additional acid damage. An
ankheg does not use this ability unless it is desperate or frustrated.
It most often spits acid when bloodied or worse
Capture (melee basic) (standard; at-will)
+9 vs. AC; 1d6 damage. Hit: Target is grappled.
If the ankheg is damaged after grabbing its prey, it retreats backward
down its tunnel at its land speed (not its burrow speed), dragging the
victim with it. An ankheg’s burrow is completely dark, and the
character won’t be able to stand from prone due to the tunnel’s
dimensions. The ankheg will try to kill it’s prey biting it
repeatedly, which will cause an ongoing 5 dmgs while the prey is in
the burrow. It takes three successful athletics rolls (dc:20) to scape
from an ankheg burrow.
