Myoko Up!

Torqua's breath of thunder devastates the swarms of tiny larvae. One of the groups is completely fried, and only curling charred maggots remain. The other is decimated too, but the undulating mass still moves.
Frost advances and stabs viciously at the Ankheg before him.
The other large vermin crawl at fast speed after Myoko. One seems to be aiming it's bit to the jadite, and as she covers, the creature snaps at the distracted sorceress. It's jaw draw blood.
The other creep advances towards Frost and bites at his leg with it's acidic mandibles.

One such attack depletes the ankheg’s acid supply for the rest of the

ankheg does not use this ability unless it is desperate or frustrated.
It most often spits acid when bloodied or worse
Capture (melee basic) (standard; at-will)
+9 vs. AC; 1d6 damage. Hit: Target is grappled.
If the ankheg is damaged after grabbing its prey, it retreats backward
down its tunnel at its land speed (not its burrow speed), dragging the
victim with it. An ankheg’s burrow is completely dark, and the
character won’t be able to stand from prone due to the tunnel’s
dimensions. The ankheg will try to kill it’s prey biting it
repeatedly, which will cause an ongoing 5 dmgs while the prey is in
the burrow. It takes three successful athletics rolls (dc:20) to scape
from an ankheg burrow.

Torqua screams as the monster takes a large bite out of her back. But as the Anhkeg's fangs dig in, like biting into a jam doughnut filled with lighting and pain, Torqua's big bright blue body discharges a blast of magical lighting, knocking the Anhkeg back.

OOC: Thanks to Lighting Breath, Anyone who attacks me takes 5 lighting damage and is pushed back one square (H5 in this case.) It lasts until the end of my next turn, unless I Sustain it with a Minor action.

Myoko gave a harsh puff of breath, almost like a wordless shout, as she flipped the visor of her helmet into place. She simply dropped the shorter spear she had been using, and stabbed the sunrod down into the sand besdie her to illuminate the fight. Then with a flick of her wrist, she hauled on the tether that was lashed to her longspear- with that weapon in hand, she set to work...

Widening her stance, she swept the spear in a broad arc, forcing the nearest ankheg to keep its distance. The creature is a bit late in learning that lesson though, and Myoko's spear punches through its plated skin to deal a deep wound.

OOC: (FOR EVERYBODY) All allies get +7 temp HP, and a +1 power bonus to all defenses until end of this encounter

OOC:

>Minor: Plant sunrod (about the same as sheathing a weapon, I guess)

Vardaal Up!

The jadite actions fills everyone with courage and vigour. As Myoko finish her stance, one of the swarms moves towards her. The little larvae climb over the woman, but her reflexes are sharp and she shakes them off soon enough.
The ankheg in front of Frost bites at the shifter with crushing power! The creature grabs Frost by his torso with its pincers, and holds him in the air.

Kavac brings his hammer down over the carapace of the Ankheg, breaking it's shell.

The other larva swarm crawls next to Myoko too and the little maggots try to crawl over her, as inefficiently as the other swarm.
