Water Problems [DM: Voda Vosa; Judge: Kalidrev!]

"I forget in rush of fight I see a way out!" Vardaal explains. "C'mon Frost, Vardaal and Frost go first, we protects the others" as the bugbear grabs the shifter's arm and pulls him along as he walks side by side and leads the way.

Frost takes the lead, his twin short swords at the ready, his keen eyes scanning the gloom.

Ok, so Frost and Vardaal in the lead, Torqua and Myoko in the middle, & Kavac as rearguard?[/sblock]

"Lead on then fellas." Torqua says, getting off her big fat behind and following the warriors out of the cave.

Heading back to where Vardaal suggests (pushes), the group find a tunnel. This one seems bigger and sturdier than the one that collapsed.
Uneventfully, the 5 mercenaries go through the tunnel. At the end of it, they see a huge cavern. At the sides, water, all of it. There is only a small passage in the middle of slightly higher sand. It's slippery, but with care, the group advances through it. A few meters ahead, the water ends, giving place to a more dry cavern.
This place is full of eggs. On the walls, on the ground, and specially, into a big nest-like structure made of some gelatinous goo. There are probably hundreds of eggs. Ankheg eggs most likely.

"Hmmm...looks like we found a source of the problem." Frost says, looking at Torqua he adds "Maybe you can melt them and we can draw whoever laid those eggs to us?" the shifter suggests.

*How deep is that water? Could we see the bottom?

Dungeoneering or Nature to see if Frost can remember anything important about the eggs or larvae of Ankhegs relating to them drinking copious amounts of water

"HA! It good you have big hammer Kavac, many things that need crushing. Hey you thinks maybe that if we put them in fire we can eat them like baby chickens? I am hungry and I know you are too" Vardaal says pointing to the sorceress, laughing at his own joke.

Kavac grins "Yeah, time to do some crushing don't you think?" he says to Vardaal.

Frost notes that it is rather misty here and that the gelatinous envelope of the eggs would dry out if there wasn't any water around.

Vardaal remembers, as he finishes his statement, one scene from his infancy. There was little Vardaal, playing with his friends "Set your mate in fire"m running with torches. One of his friends got into a cave, and Vardaal reached him with his torch. The boy set alight, started to smoke inside the cave. Vardaal almost died of suffocation! How rude of Gruum to be such a bad looser.
