D&D 5E Ways to maximize 1st lvl spell slots?

First Post
I need a way to get as many first level spell slots as possible.
So far the best idea I have is using sorcerer points to convert higher lvl spells into spell points and then those points into 1st lvl spells. But thatll take a while in the middle of battle.
Any better ways?

Edit: this is for a sorcerer in my AL game.
He has 2 lvls of paladin and is going to be a up close fighter primarily using booming blade. Just a fun thing im trying. But hes mainly going to be a spellcaster.
My idea was to use a greatsword with booming blade. At lvl 5 it automatically does an extra d6 with the initial attack.
Before attacking I use Thunderous Smite as a bonus action and then if i hit i use Divine smite (not actually casting a spell. All together im looking at 7-9d6 damage for one attack.
However it involves 2 1st lvl spell slots every time. Thats why i wanna maximize the 1st lvl slots.
I know I could probably just go full paladin but i still wanna be able to do other spells if i have to like fireball or invisibility.

The Magic Initiate feat - gives you a pseudo-slot that can only be used to cast a specific spell, once per long rest.

Take 2 levels of Warlock - gives you two more 1st level spell slots that recharge on a short rest.

Get a wand or staff with the spell you want to cast and use its charges.

Spell scrolls of the spell you want.

That's all I can think of.

Play two casters. Have twice as many spell slots.

I would suggest a ring of wizardry but I don't think they are thing in 5e any more.
