We've had plenty of discussion over at http://www.enworld.org/showthread.php?t=172303

Now I am curious as to how folks here view this.

Simple enough, just a poll, not too much discussion here, please, since its already in another thread. Maybe just an occasional bump to keep the poll going, okay?

The poll is very intentionally a yes/no poll.

I know there are shades of gray involved here potentially, but I wanted to keep it as simple as possible.

Are you asking for a RAW interpretation, or a report on individual campaigns? The answers aren't always the same.

Based on the other thread, I would assume that this is asking for a RAW interpretation. In the previous thread, Artoomis had already made an in-mage, gut reaction ruling, but wanted to clarify if the ruling was correct on not per the rules.

By the rules? no way and niether in my game on cheap, always safe to the weilder +1 enhancments either.

Not saying I wouldn't add a shocking whip or chain weapon that did exactly this to my game, but the normal energy enchants don't do this and shouldn't do this. :] Maybe on something that continually burnt/shocked/froze the wielder :D

Either, I suppose. I really mean by the rules, as you interpret and apply them.

Anyone else completely surprised by the results?

;)

I did expect to be on the losing end, but not quite so one-sided. :)

Of course, we still have about 50 votes or so to go, if past experience is any indicator. I could still be in the majority.

Hey.... it could happen!
