The text for whip dagger in Sword and Fist states that having the feat exotic weapons proficiency (whip) also gives you proficiency in whip dagger. Does this imply that weapon focus (whip) also gives weapon focus whip dagger, or am I completely mistaken?
Yes, I believe that would be implied. There's no precedent in the rules for a single Weapon Proficiency category to split into then two different Weapon Focus feats.
