Weapons Locker info

First Post
I happened across the Weapons Locker info page and thought I'd post a link here, since I hadn't seen much on the boards about it.

Who's going to be getting this? I'm not all that interested in a firearms book, myself. Unless it's got a lot of other content, this'll be the first D20 Modern book that I pass on. Of course, since WotC has only put out three so far that's not saying much. ;)

I'll be getting it because I'm a WoTC whore, and I play D20M. :)
Well, I do when there are people available to play with.
I like that they are keeping all of the D20M covers similar. How about that d20 right in the center of the bullseye? Hehe.

What I'm really looking forward to is D20 Future.

Edit: Okay, while I do pay for D20M, I meant PLAY. I'd be happy to get it for free...

I'm getting it.

And using "Blood and Fists" and "Blood and Guts", I've started statting up some characters [all ex-Green Beret scientist-adventurer-martial artists] for a modern pulp game. I intend for them to be ridiculously well-armed.

I might get one as well to complement the Ultramodern Firearms d20 that I have.

Meh. I'll pick up a copy to check out the competition. I'm not expecting much, since it describes and illustrates over 500 weapons in under 200 pages. Assuming no new rules, feats, classes, etc. appear anywhere in the book, that's approaching 3 guns per page. I imagine the details will be pretty lousy.

That's a sour puss response. There can never be enough weapons1 Weapons good, critters bad. ;)

Actually, that's not a sour puss response. It's the response of someone who knows guns, and knows how insufficient a paragraph or two of details is.

If I was a sour puss, I would have started ranting about my expectations of how I expect the same sort enigmatically incorrectly derived stats as the core book had and how author favoritism and "cool is better" probably influence the stats... :p

Feh. What can he do? He's a competitor. The only thing you can do is have a much higher expectation of his product above the others.

And if it is not ... well, tell him.

BTW, I'm still waiting for the print version of his work.

Sometime this month, I'm aiming for the 15th, but I don't think it will quite be on time. I'm fighting with repeated drive failures (one lost its partition tables, three days after I backed up all my manuscripts, and now the replacement drive refuses to write anything past 50 GB of its 120 GB capacity) and flooding in my office (located in the half basement of a split-level home and the portland cement used to seal it has deteriorated to the point of crumbling, so weekly I lose 2-3 days with rearranging things, removing the water, and airing the room out to dry things out).

Hopefully, Big Bang Volumes 5 & 6 won't be far behind schedule, either.

Considering its all d20 modern, and primarily stats...hrm.....looks like it will be a better product then big bang. At least from my consumer prospective of what I'm looking for to buy.

Descriptions are nice, but I dont need a guns entire history, i need a short description and its stats. D20 Modern Locker seems to be just that! And its d20modern only!

Its got my money, despite the fact that I cant afford it! :-D
