Web Sessions

This might be off topic, but I'm not all too sure, or even if this is the right area to post this, so I'm making apologies advance.
anyways, after long and arduous searches on the web, i have found....nothing that resembles what i need so far. I'm looking for a site that possibly has a dice roller, a chat area for players and the dm, also private messages you can send to one another. Also possible (but highly unlikely) it includes online character sheets. Basically I'm looking for a site or a download that allows people to have online gaming sessions if they're too far away from each other. I hope you guys get what I'm talking about. Thanks.

Well, you couldn't have come to a better place...

You can get to EN World's chat by logging onto chat.psionics.net and joining the channel #dnd3e. Also works through the Java client here. We have a dicebot, Golem. Private messages are also there, naturally.

When we game over IRC, we usually create a new room for the game itself, and another for the OOC banter.

Online character sheets we do not have, but there are things such as www.rpgprofiler.com, and you can also post your character to the Rogues Gallery. In the games I've played, we've just fixed our characters on our own and e-mailed them to the DM.

Now, finding the game is the trickiest part. You could just come to #dnd3e and sit tight. A game is certain to come along sooner or later. Usually sooner. Or then, you can post to the Gamers Seeking Gamers forum on EN World, or Psionics.net's own forums.

wow, thanks a lot, my group and i have been looking for a way to perhaps game since we've all gone to college and the campaigns we play (2 homebrew worlds, one d20 modern) are far from over. Thank you so much.

also check out openrpg.com and a program called screenmonkey.

microsofts netmeeting (free) allows for maps and free chat programs can allow the talk, and die rollers are abundant :)

My group has used both OpenRPG.com and WebRPG.com. They both have flaws, but do seem to fit your needs.

WebRPG was free for a while, then went to pay, and has recently become free again. OpenRPG has been and remains free.

Check them out.
