my campaign world link is in my sig.

I figure not everone will go through all of the things, so I used a side bar in frames to kinda catalog what's there.

I've turned it into a library of a sorts. Map of the world that is clickable to go to various entries on that map for the islands/continents.

The rest on the side bar is pretty self explanatory.

I use Frontpage 2000. it's simple and easy to use, and since I have a basic grasp of HTML, i can go into the html section to change things if I don't like how it look when front page does it.

if you need help, let me know. :)

Hello,

I'm running an online campaign using the Wheel of Time RPG. That kind of demands a web site, which I have here.

My RttToEE web site is fairly extensive, but also under construction as it moves between servers. When I ever get it done, I'll post the link here.

you can create your own using Yahoo groups or Smart groups.

it is pretty easy.

our group has always done this for this edition.

You might want to look at "blogging" software to make regular, small updates less of a hassle. If you swing by blogger.com, they have a free service. They even host your site for free (but don't allow you to upload any files to their server with a free account).

here's my currently dormant campaign site:

The World of Aelor

i use Dreamweaver MX to do everything, and Photoshop for the graphics. i use a little PHP so i have an excuse to learn it, and definitely CSS.

i did alot of looking around at campaign websites to see what was out there, and to get a good feel with what i liked and disliked. there are still some improvements i want to make, but my players liked it and i guess that's really the point.

focus on making it good for your players first, then later work on making it cool for the web fan who may like to follow your game.

the one thing i am still stuck on is a good HTML character sheet i can use to put up PCs and defeated NPCs. i need a simple way to do it for now, then i hope to use PHP to allow the players to update their sheets themselves dynamically.

Agreed. Our group has been using Yahoo groups for over a year now and it works very nicely. Ok, ok, not as slick as a dedicated campaign site, but it handles all the important stuff pretty well... ie, email communications, file hosting, scheduling game sessions etc. We could make even better use of the functionality if we were inclined, but ultimately we can't be *that* bothered :)
