Nothing is going to feel like D&D outside of HAT, but that's not the point. I almost didn't include it for that very reason. Seems I should have gone with my gut.

HAT isn't my D&D at all, so didn't get my vote... and I expect it won't get a vote from many others.

It's a joke for me, and a bad one, not D&D.

Distinct race = class
Every PC has some cool kit
It has an illusionist with fog cloud, colour spray and such
Slavers to punch in the face
Some PCs die
The heroes are mostly flawed
Magic is dying and the world is worse for it
It has some very cool and funny lines

My ideal campaign takes inspiration from Harryhausen Voyages of Sinbad trilogy (plus Jason and the Argonauts and Clash of the Titans too).

I'm also inspired by Captain Blood, The Three Musketeers, Captain Kronos: Vampire Hunter, Solomon Kane

These don't need to be added, but Monty Python, Legend, the Harryhausen fantasy movies (Sinbad, Jason, etc), Zorro, Three Musketeers, and all the terrible fantasy movies of the '80s.

I voted for Conan, Willow, and Clash of the Titans (Harryhausen).

These are three fantasy films I watched growing up that are definitely reflected in my homebrewed campaigns.

Conan can be seen in the general unlawfulness of my campaign worlds. I'm not interested in running campaigns with huge armies, strict laws, etc. I like that characters can wander around, make trouble, and get out of town.

Willow can be seen in the humor and curiosity of my settings. I enjoy quirky NPCs and the world being a place of weird magic. A troll reacting to magic by transforming into a giant fire-breathing monster is something that could definitely happen in my campaigns.

Clash of the Titans can be seen in my monsters! Just like in a Harryhausen flick, my monsters are frightening but also sympathetic. I'd much rather have a singular Cyclops with personality than a bunch of cyclopes that show up in random encounters. I enjoy big, beautiful monsters that eat some NPCs and that the PCs feel just a little bad killing.

(At first I was like its not fantasy but that garbage Caribbean series is on there so im sticking to it.)

LotR (Jackson), Princess Bride, Pirates, Crouching Tiger. Put those four together and it's a good start, but there's still a missing ingredient not found in movies but instead in TV shows, provided by:

Game of Thrones
Xena and Hercules.

LotR (Jackson), Conan (Arnold), Pirates (especially movie 1), Big Trouble (gotta love Jack Burton), and Honor Among Thieves. These are all classic D&D style adventures. Each has a classic big-bad (Sauron, Falsa Dum, Barbossa, and Sofina). Each had great protagonists (Frodo, Conan, Sparrow, Jack, and Edgin). And four out of the five had great world building.
