Dragonslayer and Ladyhawke with a bits of influence from Archer: Fugitive From the Empire (a.k.a. Archer and the Sorceress), Beastmaster, Excalibur, Harryhausen (Clash of the Titans, Jason and the Argonauts, Sinbad), Heavy Metal, Labyrinth, Lord of the Rings (both), Willow, and Pirates of the Caribbean.
Note: Archer: Fugitive From the Empire and Heavy Metal were not on the list.

I've never heard of this movie before, I wonder if it was ever released outside the US...
It was a failed tv pilot in the US that aired in 1981. It was later released as a movie in Europe under the title Archer and the Sorceress.
edit: I read that it is available on Amazon Prime, but have not verified it. Also, if I recall correctly, the arrival and meeting of the barbarian leaders take place in the first ten minutes or so. It is a very painful watch with overacting.

I picked Chronicles of Narnia, Clash of the Titan (Harry Housen version) and Hawk The Slayer.

Would have picked Conan and Lord (Jackson version) for themes and settings, but overall they are too low magic. I almost added Dragonslayer, but despite having both magic and dragons, it's the end of that age and magic is on the verge of being gone.

Legend and the Bass Rankin Hobbit are two I'd add as well, I think.

And no D&D 2000 movie for comparison ;) ?

You missed out Monty Python and the Holy Grail!

Guardians of the Galaxy looks very much like a typical D&D party in my experience.

The two Conan movies should have been split, the 2nd is far more D&Dish than the first. Also, the Red Sonja movie.

Also, Frozen 2 anyone? This was clearly someone's D&D campaign with added songs!

Conan and Beastmaster. They fit into my preferred aesthetics. Grim, dirty, morally ambiguous, magic is rare and dangerous. Also, scantly clad woman and oiled up muscular guys in leather loincloths. With Manowar as soundtrack.

I mixed up Krull with C production movie called Kull the Conqueror. Which could be added to the list, it's so bad it's fun. Kevin Sorbo in his prime. It's like Conan from Wish. But it fits with other two picks.

D&D magic is very specific, so only a D&D movie is going to "feel like D&D magic". And HAT did such a good job hitting a bunch of D&Disms, I feel like it could skew the results (of this very scientific poll.)
Hawk the Slayer manages to make magic look like "D&D magic", lousy VFX and all!

I didn't tick it because it's not what my IDEAL D&D campaign looks like. It's pretty much what it really looks like though!
