So what are your favourite spell combos?
I like Finger of Death + True Polymorph = Living instead of undead slave.
Wish (to cast Planar Binding as an action) + Gate (takes two spell casters or a powerful scroll) = a Balor/Solar/Pit Fiend bound to serve you for a year and a day.
Temple of The Gods + Plane Shift = the Temple exists in two planes at once so you can use its Ethereal level for storage or whatever.
Cloud Spells + Etherealness or Plane Shift = You can turn True Sight against its possessor by entering the Ethereal Plane and summoning some kind of cloud or other obscruction that isn't an illusion. The creature with True Sight on the regular plane sees into the Ethereal Plane so it vision is obscured by the cloud, but your allies can't see into the Ethereal Plane so their sight is unhindered.
Quickened or Twinned Booming Blade + Shadow Blade = you effectly enhance both spells with one use of metamagic.
Animate Objects + True Polymorph/Flight/other buffs or transformations.
Illusionary Steed/Find Steed/Find Greater Steed + Dragon's Breath = Fire Breathing Steed.
Illusionary Steed + Awaken Animal = even though its an illusion it counts as a beast because it uses horse stats (no matter the form you shape your steed into, it need not look like a horse at all). This effectively makes a sentient illusion. This is absurdly cruel however as the steed disappears when Illusionary Steed ends.
Illusionary Steed + Seeming = Illusions hiding within Illusions.
Find Greater Steed + Primal Guardian = because you shate spells with your mount that target self you can give it more beastial or plant features.
Conjure or Summon x + Planar Binding.
Homunculus + Plane Shift (border Ethereal Plane), as long as you both dwell on the Ethereal Plane you can use the Homunculus as an incredible spy.
Dream + Imprisonment (Eternal Sleep version) = you can communicate with someone in that state.
Illusionary Steed + Beast Sense = what its like being an illusion.
Seeming + Animate Object = Disguise your animated ship as someone elses ship.
Catapult + Ceremony = Hit Undead and Fiends with holy water at high velocity.
Gate + Commune = getting premission from your God to Gate them into a battle.
Simulcrim + Clone = when it dies it truely lives for the first time.
True Polymorph + Clone = the rock you turned into a Dragon cames back as an actual dragon when it dies.
